About the Team

Based in Birmingham, UK, we are a team of practitioners who are actively and passionately committed to the promotion of emotional and psychological wellbeing, providing an established counselling and psychotherapy service alongside an on-going programme of continuing professional development.

Training for Practitioners

Founded in 2000 by therapist and lecturer Sharon Hinsull, the Therapy and Training team comprises a diverse range of highly skilled, experienced and well qualified associate professionals who come from a wide variety of specialist backgrounds within the fields of mental health, psychology and psychotherapy.

Together the individuals within the team are committed to sharing both their professional expertise and excellent standards of practice with the aim of furthering the development of others who work within counselling, psychotherapy, life coaching and other allied professions.

In addition to providing an innovative range of opportunities for CPD, the team regularly facilitates workshops on a wide variety of mental health and personal development topics.

Counselling and Debriefing

Forming part of a network of highly qualified and experienced practitioners within the West Midlands region, the counselling and psychotherapy team is able to provide support for a wide variety of presenting issues, including those which may require emergency crisis intervention.

Principal Associate

Sharon Hinsull (MBACP, Dip Couns) is an experienced therapist, lecturer and mental health trainer whose practice in the area of trauma counselling has extended far and wide, supporting a large number of individuals both at home and overseas.

As a fully qualified teacher and well-established trainer, Sharon has written and delivered accredited courses on a wide variety of subjects, ranging from basic communication and interview skills to higher education programmes in counselling and health and social care. She also regularly facilitates short courses and workshops on a range of mental health and personal development topics, her particular area of specialist interest lying in the field of therapeutic writing.

 

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, Sharon Hinsull fully abides by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
